How to process reward redemptions for customers

When customers have earned enough points, they can redeem them for rewards. You process these redemptions through the staff dashboard.

The Redemption Flow

  1. Customer requests a specific reward

  2. Scan their QR code

  3. Verify they have enough points

  4. Select the reward they want

  5. Confirm the redemption

  6. Provide the reward

Processing a Redemption

After scanning the customer's QR code:

  1. Tap Redeem Reward

  2. You'll see available rewards and point costs

  3. Select the reward the customer wants

  4. Verify they have sufficient points

  5. Tap Confirm Redemption

Points are deducted immediately.

Checking Eligibility

Before processing, you'll see:

If they don't have enough points, the redemption option will be unavailable.

After Redemption

Once confirmed:

The customer can see the redemption in their transaction history.

Redemption Codes

Need to award points when a customer can't scan their QR code? Use redemption codes:

  1. Go to Redemption Codes in the sidebar

  2. Click Generate Code and select the loyalty card

  3. Enter the point amount and generate

  4. Tell the customer the 4-digit code

  5. Customer enters the code in their account to receive points

Best Practices

Verify before processing. Confirm which reward the customer wants.

Fulfill immediately. Provide the reward right after processing.

Be friendly. Redemption is a positive moment—make it feel like a celebration.
