How to add points to customer loyalty cards
After scanning a customer's QR code, you'll award points based on their purchase. The system calculates points automatically using your card's rules.
Customer makes a purchase
Scan their QR code
Enter the purchase amount
Confirm the transaction
Points are added to their balance
After scanning:
You'll see the Award Points option
Enter the purchase amount (e.g., Rs 250.00)
The system shows how many points they'll earn
Tap Award Points to confirm
The customer's balance updates immediately.
Points are calculated based on the card's rules. Common setups:
Rule | Example |
|---|---|
1 point per Rs 1 | Rs 25 purchase = 250 points |
1 point per Rs 2 | Rs 250 purchase = 125 points |
10 points per Rs 1 | Rs 250 purchase = 2500 points |
Your card's specific rules determine the calculation.
If your loyalty program uses membership tiers, you'll see the customer's tier status when awarding points.
After scanning a customer's QR code, their tier appears on the member card:
Tier badge with icon and name (e.g., "đź’Ž Platinum Member")
Points multiplier (e.g., "2.0× 🪙")
Pulsating status dot in the tier's color
This helps you identify VIP customers for better service.
Tier multipliers automatically increase the points earned on purchases:
Example:
Customer purchases Rs 100
Card rule: 1 point per $1 spent
Base points: 100
Customer's tier: Gold (1.5Ă— multiplier)
Final points awarded: 150 (+50 tier bonus)
You don't need to calculate this manually—the system does it automatically.
As you enter the purchase amount, the system shows a live calculation:
Base points: Points before tier multiplier
Tier bonus: Additional points from multiplier
Total points: Final amount the customer receives
The preview updates in real-time as you type the purchase amount.
What you'll see:
Base points: 100 pts
Tier bonus: +50 pts (2.0Ă— multiplier)
Total: 150 ptsThis transparency helps both you and the customer understand the calculation.
When you submit the transaction:
The customer receives the total points (including tier bonus)
The transaction stores both base points and multiplier in the history
The customer's tier is re-evaluated (they may upgrade!)
If they reach a new tier, they'll receive an email notification
Multipliers apply automatically. You don't need to do anything special—just enter the purchase amount normally.
Multipliers don't apply to reward claims. Only purchase transactions earn tier bonuses.
Tier status may change. After this transaction, the customer might qualify for a higher tier. Their next purchase will use the new multiplier.
If the card offers a welcome bonus, first-time customers receive extra points automatically. You don't need to do anything special—just enter the purchase amount normally.
If your business has multiple loyalty cards, ensure you're awarding points to the correct one. The customer's QR code determines which card receives points.
After awarding points:
The customer sees their new balance
You see a confirmation message
The transaction appears in your recent activity
If you enter the wrong amount:
Contact your partner (manager) immediately
They can adjust the customer's balance
Document what happened
Staff cannot directly modify past transactions—this prevents fraud.
Double-check amounts. Confirm the purchase total before submitting.
Award points on every purchase. Even small transactions build loyalty.
Encourage the program. Remind customers to show their code.
